Payment

Customers can pay by credit card, debit card or cheque.

Payments are only accepted in pound sterling.

Goods will only be dispatched once payment has been recieved in full.

If payment has not been received within 7 working days of the order being placed, the order will be cancelled.


Availability

All items are subject to availability and are sold on a first come first served basis.

All items are quality checked prior to despatch. In the event that we discover a painting is damaged or unavailable prior to despatch, Art Galleries Direct will notify the buyer as soon as possible via email and issue an immediate refund.

Art Galleries Direct reserves the right to cancel any order for any reason. In this event a full refund will be issued immediately.

Delivery

All ordered goods will be delivered to the address supplied by the buyer on the checkout form in the website or on the order form accompanying a cheque.

If the buyer refuses to take delivery of the goods for any reason other than obvious damage to the packaging upon delivery, all expenses incurred by the seller for the delivery and the return of the items will be witheld from any refund to which the buyer may be entitled.

If the buyer is not present when the courier attempts to deliver the goods, a card will be left by the delivery driver requesting the buyer to contact the courier company directly in order to arrange redelivery of the goods. If the buyer fails to contact the courier or is not at home to accept the goods on the rescheduled delivery date, the goods will be returned to the seller and all costs associated with returning the goods and arranging another delivery will be charged to the buyer.


Cancellations / Returns

The buyer may return the items they have bought for any reason within 14 working days of purchase. The buyer will only be entitled to a full refund of the original purchase price of the item, providing the goods are returned undamaged and of merchantable quality to the seller.

When an order is cancelled by a buyer, they must notify the seller of their intention to cancel the order and return the goods. This notification should be conducted by phone, email, or in writing, within 7 days of the original order being placed by the buyer.

The goods must be returned to the seller undamaged within 14 days of delivery. (The delivery date will be determined as the date and time of the first attempted delivery recorded by sellers the nominated courier)

The buyer is responsible for making all return delivery arrangements for cancelled orders and for all of the costs associated with returning these items (including but not limited to courier fees, insurance, packaging). It is the customers responsibility to ensure that all returned items are adequately re-packaged to avoid being damaged whilst in transit, and to ensure that they (or their nominated shippers) have adequate transit insurance cover is in place to cover any loss or damage to the goods whilst they are in transit. The seller reserves the right to offsett any refund that the buyer may be entitled to cover loss or damage to any goods being returned.  

All items must be returned in their original undamaged condition in order to obtain a refund. Refund will only be made once the items have been checked & determined to be in their original and re sellable condition by the seller

Damaged Goods / Insurance Claims

If damage to the painting is evident upon delivery the buyer should refuse to accept the goods, signing the delivery documents and requesting that the courier return the goods to the seller.

If damage is discovered by the buyer after accepting and unpacking the goods, the buyer should notify the seller immediately by phone or email detailing the type and extent of any damage. the seller will arrange collection and return of the goods via their nominated courier.

All original packaging must be returned to the seller with any damaged items.

All damaged goods must be return shipped using Art Galleries Direct nominated couriers. Art Galleries Direct will not pay for any third party delivery/collection charges.

All refunds for damaged items will be investigated by and made at the discretion of our insurers

Copyright

The copyright for all paintings remains with the artist; the buyer is purchasing the original NOT the right to produce prints for publication. If publication rights are required the buyer should email the seller for prices and terms and the seller will make the required arrangements with the artist in question.

Miscellaneous

The seller reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time.

These Terms and Conditions do not affect your consumer statutory rights.
